Fridays and Saturdays: October 9-10, 16-17, and 23-24, 2026. The big one for families with young kids. After dark, the Christmas tree fields light up for a glow-in-the-dark candy egg hunt, with a DJ dance party, a trolley ride, a hay tower, bonfires, and family games. An optional Spooky Woods walk adds a little scare for the brave. The event is geared to kids under 13, with a separate area for ages 4 and under. Advance tickets are required, so plan the weekend before you drive up.
Halloweekend, downtown Port Orchard
Friday, October 23 through Sunday, October 25, 2026. Downtown Port Orchard redesigned its Halloween celebration this year, replacing the annual Boo Bash with a full weekend on Bay Street. The lineup includes the Ghostly Goose Chase, library storytime and a costume parade, the Teen Monster Mash, a haunted trivia night, an escape room, a trunk or treat, and Pictures with a Witch. Port Orchard is about 25 minutes from the house, and the weekend format means you can pick your day.
Gig Harbor Witches Brew, the harbor
Saturday, October 24, 2026, 2 PM. The fourth annual Witches Brew: costumed witches paddle across the harbor to the lighthouse for a festive toast and a group photo. It is one of those only-in-Gig-Harbor sights, and watching from the waterfront is half the fun. Bring your own kayak or paddleboard, or reserve a rental from Deadmans Island Kayak and SUP. The paddle supports GHPFish, the Gig Harbor area food bank.
Trick-or-Treat on the Harbor, downtown Gig Harbor
Saturday, October 31, 2026. On Halloween day itself, the waterfront shops in downtown Gig Harbor hand out treats for costumed kids. It is a short waterfront stroll, easy to stack with dinner in the harbor afterward. See our family-friendly guide for the rest of the kid circuit in town.
Kitsap Halloween Bash, Kitsap County Fairgrounds
Saturday, October 24, 2026, 1 to 5 PM. The county fairgrounds hosts a big afternoon party: a trunk or treat, live music outside, an indoor DJ dance party, free hot dogs, hot cocoa, cider, and 700 pumpkin bags for the first 700 kids. Arrive early if the pumpkin bags matter.
Calloween in Charleston, Bremerton
Saturday, October 24, 2026, 5 to 8 PM. Charleston district in Bremerton, at Sixth Street and Callow Avenue. More than 20 businesses hand out treats, with a live DJ, a free costume closet, a cake walk, and a blacklight maze. Good for an evening out after the afternoon events wrap.
Haunted Heronswood, Kingston
Friday, October 16 and Saturday, October 17, 2026, 5 to 9 PM. Heronswood Garden in Kingston turns its garden paths into a kids' Halloween night: trick-or-treating in the garden with costumed characters, an illuminated pumpkin trail, and a Trail of Terror for older kids who want the scarier version. Tickets are sold at the gate, with no advance booking.
Ghoulsbo, historic downtown Poulsbo
Saturday, October 31, 2026. Poulsbo goes full Halloween on Front Street, with costumed kids and businesses handing out treats in the historic downtown. It is a family tradition in North Kitsap, and an easy pair with the daytime trick-or-treat options. The annual Scarecrow Festival at Sehmel Homestead Park already ran this year (October 3), so it is on the list for next fall. If Bainbridge Island is on your route, the Squash Hunt at Bloedel Reserve runs September 29 through November 1, and the Pumpkin Walk at Bainbridge Gardens runs October 1 through 31.
